After Your Purchase
Within 48 hours, we’ll send along a contributor invite from Squarespace to your new website. (It’ll look exactly like the website template you purchased).
You’ll also receive an email from Teachable which will provide you with access to the template tutorial videos!
Go Through the Tutorial Videos
Once you’re ready to start making moves on your website, follow along our tutorial videos to make it your own.
Think of this like a “learn how to create your own website” crash course. We cover how to make changes to the template, but also offer a few tips on writing your content, getting your site ready for SEO (search engine optimization), and preparing your graphics in CANVA. You’ll also walk away with lots of new skills and the ins and outs of how to use Squarespace so you can make changes in the future.
Get Launched
When you’re all set to launch, you’ll need to do a few things.
First you’ll need a Squarespace payment plan (we recommend the Business plan, and Squarespace offers 20% deals quite often!).
You’ll also need to purchase or connect your existing domain (don’t worry, we go over this in the tutorials!) then buckle up and get ready for take off!
Just a note, our templates come with a six month free trial, you will need to add a payment plan either when you want to launch or before the trial ending (you will receive a reminder email).

+ CAN I ADD A BLOG OR SHOP to my squarespace website?
You’ve got it! You may need to get a different plan to add a shop, but we have specific tutorial videos walking you through this.
+ I CURRENTLY HAVE A WEBSITE AND WANT TO USE THIS TEMPLATE?
If you have an existing subscription/payment plan, we’ll send along a new website and you can inquire with Squarespace support in finding the best solution for your payment plan and domain transfers. We recommend going on to their live chat support.
If your current Squarespace website has a lot of content/blog posts to move over please contact us for more info to make that transition easy for you.
+ WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN SQUARESPACE 7.0 & 7.1? WHAT VERSION IS BEST FOR ME?
Feel free to visit our detailed blog post here which elaborates on the key differences. Overall, if you’re starting out for the first time, we recommend 7.1, it’s the most recent version of Squarespace and has a lot of amazing features. If you’ve used 7.0 before and prefer that backend, you can easily stay with that same version and there will be plenty of support for it, even though it isn’t the most current version.
+ HOW LONG SHOULD THIS TAKE?
Realistically, updating the template to make it your own should take only a few hours, so it’s best to carve out a good chunk of time to get er’ done. We recommend not delaying the process and trying to complete it in as short as time as possible (that’s why you’re here, right?). But don’t worry if you’re not in a rush, once purchased, you have unlimited access to the tutorials, however your template will expire within a few months before a payment plan needs to be added.

All our Coast Kit templates were built to be easy-to-use, but we do understand it can be overwhelming as you customize your template and a few options to support.
